Each spring The Volunteer Center celebrates outstanding volunteers, nonprofits and businesses at a signature event highlighting volunteerism: Hats Off: A Celebration of Volunteer Heroes! (Invitation only)
 
You’re invited to attend the event on June 6th if you've nominated someone for one of the Bay Area Volunteer Awards by May 20th. Click on the award title to link to that specific online nomination form. Please read the instructions on the form before completing the nomination.

2013 Bay Area Volunteer Awards:

2013 Volunteer Choice Award
This award recognizes volunteers’ favorite nonprofit decided by an online popular vote. (selected by popular vote—invitations limited to organizations in the top five)

2013 Community Spirit Award
Recognizes the achievements of an outstanding individual volunteer (selected by nomination review panel)

The Community Spirit Award is open to all individuals who volunteer atnonprofit organizations in the Bay Area. Individuals who have won in the last five years are not eligible for this award in 2013.

2013 Nonprofit Board Leader Award
Recognizes the achievements of an outstanding nonprofit board member (selected by nomination review panel)

The Nonprofit Board Leader Award is open to all individuals who volunteer on a nonprofit board of directors located in the Bay Area. Individuals who have won in the last five years are not eligible for this award in 2013.

2013 Corporate Community Involvement Award
Recognizes a business that operates an outstanding employee community involvement program (selected by nomination review panel)

The Corporate Community Involvement Award is open to all businesses withoperations in the Bay Area that maintain an employee involvement program. Companies that have won in the last five years are not eligible for this award in 2013.
